CLASS EXPECTATIONS
Be present and participate.
Respect yourself, others, and materials.
Assignments are due by 8:30 AM on the assigned date.
There is no penalty for late work; however it will be noted in the gradebook that it is late. Completion of work is important to the mastery process.
Late work will be accepted until the unit test day.
Make-up labs and tests will be held only before or after school. Some labs will not be able to be made up.
There will be very few opportunities for extra credit. Do not come to me at the end of the grading period asking for extra credit to save yourself from bad decisions you made throughout the quarter.
Cell phones need to be out of sight and turned off. If you absolutely need to use your phone, please talk to me first.
Come prepared: paper, pen, calculator, Science folder or notebook. Computer charged.
LABORATORY EXPECTATIONS
Lab experiments provide students with hands-on opportunities, but along with the privilege of conducting experiments comes responsibility to keep oneself and others safe. Some labs will require students wear closed-toe shoes, tie back long hair, remove loose jewelry and/or wear protective gear. Students will be informed in advance of upcoming lab protocols. Any student failing to adhere to the requirements of a lab will not be allowed to participate and will lose their lab participation points for the day.

Disrespect to me, classmates, or materials will not be tolerated.
If you need someone to talk to, I'm always ready to listen.

CLASS FORMAT
We will follow this format for most units.
PRE-TEST
Comparison of a pre-test to a post-test provides evidence of achievement.
INSTRUCTION
This includes notes, labs, assignments, and online practice.
REVIEW AND TESTING
